When Mad Men moved from BBC Four to Sky Atlantic, Rafaela Perera led the creative development of the innovative campaign. The campaign was crafted with Mad Men’s core fanbase in mind and featured an animated tease and multiple tactical trailers targeting different audiences.
The 5th series premiered with a promo junction takeover (the first of its kind) featuring bespoke continuity voices of the era and famous ads from the 60’s. Working with Sky Media, brands including Fairy liquid, Kit Kat, Cadbury’s Flake, Citroen and Birdseye acquired airtime on Sky Atlantic so that some of the nation’s favourite old commercials could be aired. The event gave Sky Atlantic a strong social presence on premiere night with #madmenonsky trending heavily on Twitter.
